Odd and Imperfect

I always find beauty in things that are odd and imperfect, they are much more interesting.

    1. Well, thank you dear bot. You crafted this so nicely, I’ll actually leave this standing for once 🙂 It took me 10 minutes to delete all your other comments. Lovely varietey though.

  1. My sentiments exactly Jeanine. (P.S. – I sent you something to your e-mail address – maybe it went to SPAM … for some reason I thought you preferred e-mail to Facebook … I can easily send it to FB too, just let me know OK? Interestingly, I spotlighted this memorial tree at the Park and it was decorated just a little more since I last looked … is there such a thing as “sweet kitsch?” I may have found it. 🙂

    1. Hi Linda, thank you so much for those pictures! — Sorry, I was just a bit slow 😉 I definately have to share them here!

      1. No problem Jeanine – I could not remember if you said you checked your e-mail or Facebook messages more. That little gnome Santa was such a nice touch to the grandfather’s tree that I had to share with you. (P.S. – I’m always behind … only caught up in Reader two or three times this year.)

      2. Technically I check my mails more … Erm … The longer this lockdown fun lasts, the shorter the days seem to get. Maybe I’m slowing down somehow. You’d think we’d be used to it by now. — Great job on your reader! 🥳

      3. I agree with you – the day begins and before you know it, it ends. I know all weekends seem like that! I wish I could stay caught up on my reader … I need to try harder.

  2. I remember in my teens riding in the Volkswagen bug my buddy drove. I thought how cute and fun to drive. At the time most guys my age probably drooled over Mustangs and Cougars to own and drive. I think I like to choose for myself what is attractive, hence my small collection that accumulated of slugs made of recycled glass (very pretty) and a slug made of carved wood. I think that beauty is perhaps something inside that reflects out. Have a wonderful day – David

    1. Hi David, I am super wild about those VW Buses but for a young man … I know what you mean 😉
As for slugs, that is an interesting hobby too collect those. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is great that it can mean different things to different people. Otherwise life would be pretty bland …

  3. I’m ever so tempted to say: That’s me – and thanks God for being (at least) interesting because it isn’t for outward beauty but for many I might seem slightly odd and certainly imperfect. This shop window would draw me in like a moth to the light 🙂

    1. Same here 😉 I always wanted to use the photo for a quote but only today did I notice the photographer … Odd and imperfect
