    1. It makes me super happy that you like them! The pixel one did my head in in real life. 4 shades of grey. Amazing

  1. A great selection. Viel dank. (I so wish I could still roam the streets of Europe for street art)
Ich verstehe “macht schöner”, aber was ist “Döner”? Ein name? A brand?
    Tschüß
(An old German friend of mine just complimented me for my ¨ and my ß. 🤣)

    1. Döner Kebab is the beauty of fresh bread and veggies with meat and sauce. Similar to a gyrus or falafel. There’s something about awesome food just all wrapped up! 🥳

      1. Sounds deli. You don’t know how I miss the option of stopping at any café in Paris, take a chair on the terrace, ask for the plat du jour and a glass of Brouilly. 🍷

      1. That was easy. It is directly on a key to the right. As you know we use often in French. My last name actually has one: Onraët. 😉

      2. The ‘a’ is mute. The ‘e’ without an accent is like the German ‘e’ as in… bitte. With an Umlaut, the sound of the ‘e’ is like in ‘mensch’. So it’s easier that it looks. ‘Onret’.
Which has a negative meaning in Flemish… 😉

      3. Well, my ancestors around the 15th-16th century were Flemish. From a town named Kortrijk in Flemish. They then moved to the North of France and later to Paris around the 18th century. I still have distant “cousins” in Belgium. The name “Onraët” means “Not to be trusted, a bit of a crook”. LOL.

      4. PS. I lived in Holland, and I’ve been countless times to Brussels on business. Love Belgium and the belgians. A great people.

  2. My daughter loves graffitti Art as I do but whenever she see “Tagging” she doesnt like, now we will definitely have a problem when we visit Berlin in Sept once again..!
But then, those are cool ones, esp the Döner one. Got to check out these locations.

    1. I can give you a few tipps before you go!
Ugly tags have exploded during lock down though. Maybe just overlook those 😉

    1. Thank you! I really like street art. Some is funny or political or just pretty. Even if it is a kids chalk drawing, street art does something to you. — Not every piece in a museum does 🙂

    1. Thank you. It is a bit cooler, if you have some super nice pieces in between but with Corona my space got a lot smaller … They are still pretty fun!

      1. They definitely are fun. I loved them especially the one with the evolution of man from an ape to man to falling off a cliff, this is a perfect visual meme for Palm Oil Detectives, could I use that picture on there? I can credit you and link back 😍

      2. Hey there, I really don’t mind if you use it and link me. The original artwork is not by me though but by Otto Schade. I’m not sure if he would mind? Probably not, if you put his name somewhere … Your blog, you rules!
I’m glad you like the stuff! Have a lovely weekend!

    1. Thank you! It is actually a common saying, probably because it rhymes so well but you cannot have Berlin without the Kebab places! 🙂
