Happy Monday to all of you! It is a new start to the week. Make it productive!

Some of you may have noticed, that my blogging schedule is a wee bit out of the window and/or I haven’t visited your blogs as per usual. I’ve finished a draft AND sent it to my writing friend (who is super, super strict.)

What will happen afterwards? I am honestly not sure, but what was most important to me was to see this through from beginning to finish.

Here is some more writing inspiration for all of you, who are also not sure sometimes what they are actually doing. The artistic pain is part of the process. The rest is work.

Carpe diem.

Don’t get discouraged. A good break here and there works wonders, too. Rome wasn’t build in a day.

1. Linda Schaub – Michigan, U.S.A. – This is my first blog and I enjoy writing each post immensely. I started a walking regimen in 2011 and in 2013 I decided to create a blog as a means of memorializing the people, places and things seen on my daily walks. I have always enjoyed people watching, so my blog is peppered with folks I meet or reflections of characters I have known through the years. Often something piques my interest, or evokes a pleasant memory from my memory bank, so this becomes a “slice o’ life” blog post. I respect and appreciate nature and my interactions with Mother Nature’s gifts is also a common theme. Sometimes the most-ordinary items become fodder for points to ponder over and touch upon. I retired in March 2024 after a career in the legal field. I was a legal secretary for almost 45 years, primarily working in downtown Detroit, then working from my home. I graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Mass Communications (print journalism) in 1978, though I’ve never worked in that field. I would like to think this blog is the writer in me finally emerging!! Walking and writing have met, shaken hands and the creative juices are flowing in Walkin’, Writin’, Wit & Whimsy.   🤔 that’s not how I feel but thanks 😘 there is a long way to go from here. But to be honest, your encouragement & and the blogging world mean the world to me. Maybe writing people are from some in-between world in the first place

  I think bloggers prop each other up because as a writer, you reveal a lot about yourself and it takes guts to write and share your words with others, whether they are captions under photos, funny or personal blog posts. I may have told you this before, but I took a long time before I shared the fact I had started a blog with any friends – only the friend who encouraged me to start a blog knew. And, I did not become part of the blogging community here at WordPress for 4 1/2 years after I began blogging.

  I think you hit a nerve there… You do reveal a lot about yourself. I also noticed, I write rather different on this blog. Maybe because it is in English? Maybe a post has a short life span; if it doesn’t turn out all that great it’s not the end of the world 🙂

  That could be Jeanine. I commend anyone who can speak and/or write in a different language. I studied French for year and hate to admit it – with no one to talk French to, I forgot most of it. In Canada you start learning French in Grade 1 – mandatory requirement. Here in the States, it is not mandatory and that’s too bad. People here study Spanish more than French when they are in high school mostly.
  
  I was following a blogger from Finland for a while and he wrote each post in different languages. He didn’t just translate with a translator like Google or Babbel – he wrote it out in various languages. He said he would read books in different languages to be able to speak and write them. It was incredible and he was a great photographer. This is funny what he said: “my wife asks me if I am married to her or my blog so I’m taking a blog pause.” That was two years ago … he was almost 80 years old.
