After I had just talked about not wasting time, I came across this quote. But of course. She is probably not talking about procrastinating but the time it takes to do your research or to clear your head in order to experience some sort of inspiration.
So, just in case you didn’t wake up on January 1st like a completely new awesome you, maybe take your time. Nothing is set in stone.

Ah, for me a blissfully boring, non-eventful, stress-free, lazy start to the new year in which I’m almost at the end of my self-imposed “Three month break” from writing and other creative pursuits.
However, I still have to work the day job to pay my ever-increasing bills, but at least on my days off I can vegetate and stew. They say a watched kettle/pot never boils… I’m happy to prove them right for now.

It’s best to kind of ease into the new year gently.
It started with a few hickups! Our landlord is, well, a landlord … Looks like we might have warm water again soon. With all the things happening in the world, you kinda feel like a douche for being grumpy cause you have to boil water … Very grounding in a way. Ease after all
Sorry to hear that – you need a “do over” already! Yes, lack of fresh water or electricity is a pain for sure. Due to our strange weather hot/cold/hot/cold we are having water main breaks. I”ve not lost my water yet, but have no water pressure – open the tap and it’s a trickle. Sigh.
Turns out, it just started there. Sigh. What a start. Breathe in, breath out 🧘
Wish you could just fast forward through this … my last quarter of the year everything seemed to break or was “needy” and needed attention. I was happy to kick 2022 to the curb!
