Mourning is a weird thing. You never know when it’s gonna hit you. When there are kids involved, falling to pieces is not really an option anyways. Catapulted into the adult world, I’ve been pretty composed. If it wasn’t for those moments in the car, all by myself, when your mind just goes blank… For a while a button was stuck on our radio and all you could listen to was the Dad Rock station. I’ve never made it past the 6th line. There’s an industrial road I need to take a bit and I’m sure the sobbing lady in the car is quite a sight between the tradies and truck drivers… Sometimes you have to let it all out…
