Easter Salami – apparently that’s a thing!

From the ongoing study ‘German traditions you didn’t know’. Including me.

Don’t be disappointed though, the sausage is smaller than the packaging suggests.

Hmm – and you thought my swan was scary looking – this is wurst!!! 🙂
😂
Apologies. I didn’t mean to ruin the joke.
No probs, maybe you’re not into sausages (oh my, this is hard. I’m too old too find this so funny) 😅
Well, it’s something new to me.
Jup, same here! Who knows what they will come up with this year? Go buy MORE STUFF 🙂
Yeah, that’s about it.
Easter salami? Is this for real, or April 1st? 😬
It’s totally real! A quick search and I found a few more with easter packaging and one shaped like a chocolate bunny! Maybe marketing teams want us to buy those for the man of the house? Rumors go, there are Christmas salamis as well. We’ll have to wait and see 😉
Christmas salamis? Lord have mercy…
If you’re visited by the bunny, you’re a kid. if you’re drinking beer The Easter sausage is much better!!

Take a moment to laugh
The sausage is mostly smaller than the package promises (mind out of the cutter now)
gutter not cutter good grief, all this excitement got me all confused.
Ha ha, such is life! Things like that confuse me. While it’s kinda cute, it really doesn’t seem all that necessary?!?
Good, keep it that way,
Only in Germany I think. I prefer the GDR Easter Bunny personally!
Jup, me too! We had one person in the kitchen so far who knew what this was. I’m not sure if this will take on.
Hilarious!
To be honest, I only bought it so I can post it. This hardly ever happens!
😀
I’ve never heard of an Easter Sausage, either.
Hi there, same here. Don’t believe everything you see at Kaufland …
There is a Kaufland here in Frankfurt, but it’s way over on the other side of the city, so I’ve never been there. (Unless maybe it was called something else in earlier decades.)
It was my go to supermarket in first lockdown! Glue, birthday presents, sharp knive … Plus, they take ALL the Pfand bottles. This one or the cheaper ones nearby … doesn’t matter, no oil, no flour … How is it going down where you are?
No more oil on the shelves from sunflower seeds or Raps, but they still have plenty of olive oil and walnut oil, so I’m not complaining.
The Easter sausage. Well, of course. It delivers chocolate Easter eggs to all the good little boys and girls.
It is the traditional phallic forerunner of a fruitful Spring 🙂
Y’know, I was actually happier not thinking about that.
Oh Ellen, I’ll bite my tongue and don’t push this joke further
