Easter Salami

Easter Salami – apparently that’s a thing!

From the ongoing study ‘German traditions you didn’t know’. Including me.

Don’t be disappointed though, the sausage is smaller than the packaging suggests.

    1. No probs, maybe you’re not into sausages (oh my, this is hard. I’m too old too find this so funny) 😅

    1. It’s totally real! A quick search and I found a few more with easter packaging and one shaped like a chocolate bunny! Maybe marketing teams want us to buy those for the man of the house? Rumors go, there are Christmas salamis as well. We’ll have to wait and see 😉

    1. Ha ha, such is life! Things like that confuse me. While it’s kinda cute, it really doesn’t seem all that necessary?!?

    1. Jup, me too! We had one person in the kitchen so far who knew what this was. I’m not sure if this will take on.

      1. There is a Kaufland here in Frankfurt, but it’s way over on the other side of the city, so I’ve never been there. (Unless maybe it was called something else in earlier decades.)

      2. It was my go to supermarket in first lockdown! Glue, birthday presents, sharp knive … Plus, they take ALL the Pfand bottles. This one or the cheaper ones nearby … doesn’t matter, no oil, no flour … How is it going down where you are?

      3. No more oil on the shelves from sunflower seeds or Raps, but they still have plenty of olive oil and walnut oil, so I’m not complaining.
