Well, what can you say to that? Cheesy literature, too much TV streaming or binging the news — what is your go to happy place at the moment?

    1. Her books take us to idyllic landscapes and are mostly love stories. In Germany, the TV Series based on her books went mental and is a great driving factor for tourism in Cornwell 🙂 While her books are more on the trivial side of things, she wanted to offer people an escape from every day life. The episode guide of German TV chanel ZDF counts roughly 160 episodes + specials. Interesting stuff

      1. That’s what it’s there for! Honestly, I started this blog because people take themselves wayyy too seriously

  1. I remember reading the “Shell Seeker” by Rosemarie Pilcher, I never thought she were cheesy or kitschig. Her writing style was great and her books kept me engaged. Danyelle Steele, now that’s kitsch. 🙂

    1. Steele, nice one! To be honest, I haven’t read any of her books. Her kitsch reputation might stem from the German TV series, that is cheesy as can be! From what I understand, she wanted her books to be a way to escape harsh realities of life. Apparently her dialogues are pretty good. After what I saw on TV I would never have picked one up. Should probably at least give one a go
