For once, my Wednesday turned out nearly wordless. Welcome to a collection of mosaics.

For the entire mosaic and explanations click here (in German).

As luck works out, we found this mosaic in Potsdam basically covered in a construction site and in drizzly weather.

Let’s just pretend there was some sun.

See more original pictures here. Fingers crossed, next time we can enjoy all 70 meters of artwork.

I really do hope, you liked to collection of mosaics today; certainly on the lookout for more!
Today, I took some pictures at Alexanderplatz. One of a mosaic that had been covered under a restaurant sing for decades (poor thing), as well as one round view of Our Life, until I got shooed away like a Berlin pigeon by security. But that, ladies and gentleman, is a story for another day.
Skyrocket high this week, or don’t. Whatever you do, stay kitschy, healthy and safe.

Jeanine – just saw online: June 21 2022 – Happy World Gnome Day! (Wish I knew before – I know you would have liked to do something on your blog.)
Say what! 🙁 Oh gnome …
Happy to enlighten you!!!
Wonderful collection – thank you!
We have some mosaics at the People Mover stations in Detroit. There are stations and you have to up the stairs and it is an overhead monorail system. Other than that, I think that’s it … so many here, but my favorite was the Summery one “Gozo Ferry Terminal Mgarr” with the seagulls hovering about.
Hi Linda, I magically found more over the weekend! This may be my new thing to look for! So much fiddely work, I have deep respect for that. What an interesting medium. I wouldn’t mind trying myself one day
We have the Pewabic Pottery place here in the City of Detroit and you can buy their ceramic tiles or attend classes. They will come to your house and create magic with their tiles. They are well known around here, but it’s just a business, nothing like you have discovered. Keep exploring Jeanine.
I’ll send you a link so you can see their work (and how they create it is on there in case you decide to take a class). I’ll put it in a separate comment to look at when you get time.
Here is the Pewabic Pottery link – Detroit is not well known for a lot of things (besides cars), but this is a favorite place for many to buy tiles.

Lovely captures.
Thank you. Ever since I posted this, they seem to magically appear. I will post more for sure. What a great medium
Love these! Thank you for sharing.
I love mosaics, always wished I would have the time to learn it.
Brilliant collection of mosaic work, Jeanine. I used to run art sessions for adults with learning difficulties, and mosaic work was a popular activity. I think the tactile element made it therapeutic as well as artistic. Thanks for sharing 😎
I love mosaics! It’s always so amazing how the artists are able to show so much depth and perspective.
