Seeing Australia’s big things can be a bit anticlimactic. They are often not that big… Like Scotty in Adelaide.
Turns out, I’ve been passing one of the Big Things on my way to work. Located at a busy intersection, everybody knows, you just turn at Scotty’s. For some reason, it just didn’t register with me as a landmark.
In 1963, the Big Scotsman was built by Paul Kelly, who was also responsible for the Big Lobster. Scotty is 5 meters tall and, unlike Larry the Big Lobster, this guy is in splendid shape.
Just in case you wondered what he is wearing underneath…
Have a great weekend! Do something fun!
