A beach

 

Left-over bread

 

A child that can feed the seagulls from a safe distance (we’ve all seen The Birds)

 

Method

Seagulls are creatures of habit. The average seagull numbers will increase as soon as there’s a plastic bag on the beach. Throw a few crumbs and you will soon have a descend flock of birds to watch.

They will then fight over the bread and with increasing numbers of food, their interest will decrease exponentially. When you are leaving, which means a safe distance in seagull terms, they will devour the leftovers and even the mouldy bread will find a thankful birdie. Yum.
