We stopped looking for monsters under our bed when we realized that they were inside us.

I have an adopted cat under my bed. She sometimes acts like a monster.
Ha ha, so does ours …
Too much stuff under the bed, not to mention “dust bunnies” – do you have a German expression comparable to “dust bunnies” Jeanine?
Or spiders … Apparently, there’s the word Staubmäuse (dust mice) which I never heard before. I know them as Flusen (fluff). Some people are known to have that in their heads … (Flusen im Kopf) 🙂
Ha ha – I like the German word for dust mice. I have lots of fluff (trust me)!
When I was a kid I always had to protect my younger siblings in the same room from the monsters. They then slept happily and I couldn’t leave my bed for fear of the croc or serpent hiding under MY bed…. I’m just glad THAT is over now!
Oh no! But you’ve been a great big sister! I’m sure there’s nothing under your bed. At all. Now, is there? 🌚💀👀
I still look! 😀
And you should!
Damn, just when I was starting to sleep well.
Oh hun, you know I’ll always take care of you …
