For all you lovers of doors out there, today we have some elaborate ones!

(Il-Katidral Metropolitan ta’ San Pawl)
also famous as St Paul’s Cathedral or Mdina Cathedral

Save Door of Mdina for later

The city of Mdina had been founded as Maleth around the 8th century BC by Phoenician settlers and survived Roman, Arab and all sorts of other occupations. Malta is the place to be for history buffs.
Today the cities of Mdina and Rabat are suburbs (of each other?) and I really failed to understand how this really works. Maltese cities just somehow blend into each other.
As a fun fact, you cannot buy houses in Mdina as property is generally passed on from one generation to the next.
Famiy Palazzo anyone?
Hey, just in case you were wondering where we went on holidays, and no, I hope we won’t become those people that go to the same place every year …
Malta just seems to hold a very special place in our hearts. As per usual, we just did not take enough photos but once within the town walls of Mdina, you are completly in awe by the pure size of it.

Happy travelling!
