Fashion you can buy, but style you possess. The key to style is learning who you are, which takes years. There’s no how-to road map to style. It’s about self expression and, above all, attitude.

Yes, I love Iris and her penchant for style above fashion!
She was a rather interesting character!
She still is at 100! Amazing person. I saw her biopic and loved how she said she knew she’d never be beautiful, but she’d dress in an interesting way. Great attitude.
Here is a definition – I wish I could send the audio too but I know sometimes you and other European bloggers can’s open audio from radio and/or TV stations. Maybe have fun with it some St. Paddy’s day … late for doing it this year.

Thank you Linda!
You’re welcome Jeanine – I never heard that word before … I kind of like how it rolls off the tongue, though better hearing it in an Irish brogue.
Jeanine – I heard a new word today and had to share as the guy in the radio interview ended by saying “it’s kitch!” He was talking about how Irish people are disgusted with how Americans get dressed in green bowler hats and outrageous green outfits and fake a brogue accent for St. Patrick’s Day. He said that is “paddywhackery” and it is kitch. Thought of you right away and though he made up the word but it is a word when I Googled it. Will put the definition in a separate comment in case it goes to SPAM.
How did I miss this Jeanine? This is very true … we have an expression over here, maybe you have a similar German saying: “You can’t make a silk purse from a sow’s ear.”
Stimmt!
Danke. Was soll man auch groß sagen die Tage!?
So true!
Thank you! I’ve been meaning to use this photo for a long time. I’ve had a bit of stock photo fun … you’ll see tomorrow!
