This post is dedicated to Linda, who remembered the crocuses from 2022 and 2021. Bad phone photography; here we go!

Unfortunately, this year it is still rather cold, so they are not in full bloom just yet. Can anyone explain to me, why the yellow ones seem to spring up last?

Enjoy your long weekend and don’t forget to head over to Linda and show her some love!

Hoppy Holidays!

PS: While taking these photos, some dude walked by and wondered why that lady was around with Smurfs. Smurfs! Outrageous. Lucky for him, he was 4 or so…

  1. Lol, I remember you’re not a fan of the Smurfs ๐Ÿ˜‚
I don’t know why certain flowers bloom later than others. Maybe something to do with how the colour of the petals absorbs light?
It’s still nippy over here, even though plenty of plants and trees are in bloom.

    1. Nippy, I haven’t heard this in, no wait, we may be getting old ๐Ÿ˜‰ Life was demanding but I am collecting things and stuff … there will be mail! Happy Holidays, hopefully you arent’t stuck at work

    1. They are so tiny but how cute are they? I’ve been stuck in adult life and came home to new gnomes. One step at a time. You’ve been well?

  2. Jeanine – thank you for the dedication and the shout-out as well. Now that is crazy that the crocuses pick and choose what colors will decide to bloom. It seems everything is wacky, not just the weather. The nerve of that dude getting his Smurfs and Gnomes confused – a blue Gnome? I think not! Hope your Easter was happy and your readers don’t think I’m wacky for that last mural pic that bears a likeness to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yeah, got some nerve, right?
Since I’ve been hardly around in the last months, there won’t be too many readers ๐Ÿ™‚ No worries
