Halloween meets Gnomevember

When Halloween meets Gnomevember it’s almost as good as Eurovision week.

Almost.

Now, the real star of this show is Heinrich the garden gnome and his lovely little patch.

His human friend puts so much effort into this little garden! For Halloween, he (?) puts out pumpkins for kids to take away to decorate and the kids bring the fancy pumpkins back.

The little garden near Alexanderplatz is adorable as it is. For Halloween it gets extra special. I am always amazed, that people treat the little gnome garden with so much respect. Paul brought Zombie Gnome along and the guys had a great time.

  1. That’s nice to put out pumpkins and the kids take ’em, decorate ’em and bring ’em back. The honor system is nice … not sure it could happen here. All the scare tactics of that skeleton and the Woodcutter Gnome with its axe just kept his cool. 🙂

    1. As always, best regards to Henri!
(Send me your address and I’ll organize some Vitamin Zwerge as a surprise for Gnomevember!)

  2. well thanks for the warning, my friend! My eyes are safely popped back into their sockets and the ONE thing I truly find adorable are the ‘hanged to dry’ pockets of Vitamin Gartenzwerge 🙂
But horror of horrors; in the now near naked garden patio (the leaves have fallen….) of one of the richer owners of their appartment (the rest of us near 100 are renting) stands – God forbid – a HUGE Heinrich the Gnome Riesenzwerg big and ugly, waving a warning arm towards our building. You, dearest Jeanine, have won ‘auf der ganzen Linie’ – I’ll send that guy (he is also playing “badly” the accordian = die Handorgel) over with his trophy – please keep him and ‘him’ 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Oh Kiki, I am so sorry, that would be an odd sight. Maybe it’s a sign that the owner secretely wishes he had a bigger … yard? Does he come with a red sports car?
Oh my, oh my …

      1. I try to avert my regard when I pass by his ‘territory’….that’s all I can do. But it’s a bit odd as usually we’re kind of a classy neighbourhood (in style not money, or we wouldn’t rent!) 😉

  3. Herrlich! Ich mag Gartenzwerge! Je älter ich werde, desto mehr!
