I used to think I was the strangest person in the world but then I thought there are so many people in the world, there must be someone just like me who feels bizarre and flawed in the same ways I do. I would imagine her, and imagine that she must be out there thinking of me, too. Well, I hope that if you are out there and read this and know that, yes, it’s true I’m here, and I’m just as strange as you.
Frida Kahlo

So, I’ve been talking to Mr. Ohh! About last weeks’ quote and realized, there are a whole bunch on being odd. It might be time to compile a new long quote post. Until then, we have Frida and a few older posts at the end. It looks like it’s gonna be an artsy month around here. Have a lovely start to your week!
Why not head over to Mr. Ohh!’s Sideway Views for a good laugh?

Did you create this? Looks cool 😎
*one* – eyes are blurry after hours of screen time.
Ha ha – well we are all a little strange because who wants to be a cookie cutter image of everyone else? Frida Kahlo is well known here, not so much for herself or her artwork, but by virtue of the fact that she was married to Diego Rivera, famous for his murals “Detroit Industry” which are displayed in the Detroit Institute of Art. My boss, who is a labor lawyer, likes the murals so much that he has two framed sets of the series in our office … on in the lobby and one in his office.
sweetie, I visited the most delightful, disturbing and unforgettable light show in Zurich on Frida.. I’m a great fan of her work and it was a brilliantly executed show. But now I’m awaiting patiently your ‘long quote’ collection.
I wish you a wonderful continuation of this summer and send you a hug or three!
I love Frida!
Strange is better than ordinary. 😀
Amen!
Twenty years ago in Nordhausen, I saw the opera “Frida”, based on the life of Frida Kahlo, by the American composer Robert Xavier Rodríguez,
That sound great! We’ve been to a Frida Kahlo excibition in Berlin and the lines to get in broke all the records in Berlin!
