A-Fence, the big construction site on Alexanderplatz, got dressed up once again! While they are planning to finish construction until 2025, we probably get to see a lot more street art.

Whatever skyscraper it is they are building there, the people responsible claim to build with intend. A mixture of life and work, including some greenery. While I am still a bit sceptical (many new features did really not upgrade Alexanderplatz), they factored in street art in their budget, which is on my cool side of things. A-Fence serves as a colorful sight at an iconic place. A meeting spot for so many different people and cultures.

This time around it was super hard to get close…ish to the artwork, the area strangely adds to it.

Maybe it will be green architecture. Until then, we’ve got ourselves a pretty fancy fence.

Wow – the artwork is mind-boggling! A lot of time and effort goes into creating these murals and it shows. I love how it transforms the rest of the area.
Hi Linda, thank you! This time it was 10 artists (more than last time). Definitely a good choice! The color really ads to the construction site!
It sure does brighten up that area – here in Michigan people joke about all the orange construction cones in the Summer season and call them our “state flower”, or they have little songs sung to the tune of “Beer Barrel Polka” changing it to Orange Cone Polka”.
Ha ha, that’s funny. Regional quirks are fun.
I kinda like the orange things. Reminds me of that thing … what was it called … flying … to … erm … a holiday destination …
Colourful Wednesday.
Thank you! It really takes your eyes off construction 🙂
Very well done. Sure beats graffiti.
They are pretty fab 🙂
WOW! These are incredible! I really like the idea that the artists are being sponsored.
I think it’s really cool that the artists get so much exposure. — One could argue, the investors like to make themselves look good, too … But the selcetion is great and I am really keen for the next one!
True about the investors. But at least they gave the artists prime space to paint.
Very good. Very cheery and colourful.
Thank you. This is the 3rd round already! Who knows what will be next?!
