Oh deer, what do we have here?

Ah, good taste–What a dreadful thing! Taste is the enemy of creativeness.

I have a thing for deer – and thank you for this wonderful collection!
When I started reading this post, I said “she did go back and get that sparkly reindeer!”
Oh, with all this peer preasure I was pretty close. Luckily, the flea market only opens on the weekends. I have to admit, I am tempted to get back but what if I went and deer wasn’t there anymore?
I know – we all wanted it for you. 🙂 Well if you went back and it was gone, it wasn’t meant to be – I’d go anyway. For us, er … you for Christmas as you may be going into lockdown again I hear, following in the steps of Austria. I am going to send you a funny video to Facebook that a fellow blogger sent me in a comment on my gnomes post.
Oh you guys … You pretty much summed up what I was thinking 🤔 maybe I do have to go back?!
They are determined not to lock us down again but I also read this week that lockdown is a question of definition. Whatever that means. With rising numbers you’d think they have to do something …
Yes, we all have to indulge sometimes … well, I hope you don’t go into a bigtime lockdown again. Our numbers are rising – yesterday, since we are #1 in the nation for stats, they asked people to mask up (not required, just suggested) for Thanksgiving. I always have a mask when I step outside the house and I’ve had all the shots, booster included.
I once broke a piece of Meissen. Many years ago (late 70’s’ish) I was helping a friend of mine to clean up an apartment belonging to a lady friend of his. She had had a small kitchen fire but there was smoke damage to all the other rooms. So I was helping to move furniture around so that we could wash down the walls ready for repainting. I picked up a table and started moving it and I heard something go ‘tink’ – it was a really small piece and it was on one of those ornamental tables with a shelf underneath which is where the piece was and of course I didn’t see it. The friend wasn’t too bothered about it thankfully and presumably had it insured.
It is really odd with these things. I seem to mostly break stuff in other peoples apparments 😉 Luckily you didn’t break something with a prize of a car!
How could you ever be sad with that sequined deer in the house? Just looking at it makes me smile 🙂
Who would have faun it? I am stag-gered by the beauty of the deer decorated in sequins… really so gorgeous and wonderfully kitsch! I am cervid-certain I love this post 🦌🦌😃
Ahhh, I’d write I smart reply to that but I just can’t stop laughing!
You, Sir, are a clever man 🙂
Lol, thanks Jeanine. Not so clever, just a bit punny today 🙂
OMG – I write this with hurting eyeballs….. but that jar for only 3.8k€ really is a steal 🙂
And it’s even on sale!
I know – I wonder why?! 😉 😉
I love fleamarkets as well, that reindeer is flashy but super unique!
The sequined deer would be a stylish addition to any home. 😀
Love Picasso’s quote! I will reference him often. 🙂
